Hanafuda Koï-Koï by Robin Red Games
|
Hanafuda is a traditional set of 48 cards used in Japan for different games. One of the most challenging is Koi-Koi, a fishing game for two players. Pascal Boucher designed in 2013 a pack aimed for the European market. The illustrations follow the traditional design but as the cards have been enlarged, the artist had the opportunity to add more details. Small icons have been added to help the players. My colleague who bought one pack told me that there are some minor errors like a missing icon in the sake cup card which is both 'junk' and 'animal'. Two dragon jokers have been added and I guess they can be used to play Go-Stop, the Korean version of Koi-Koi. The rule book is in French, English, German and Spanish.
